Jamie Segal M.S. CCC-SLP

Clinical Director & Speech-Language Pathologist

Jamie relocated to San Diego from northern Virginia.  She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Northeastern University and her Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from James Madison University.   

 

Jamie has gained experience working with people across the lifespan with a wide variety of disorders, delays and disabilities.  Her areas of expertise include: articulation, motor planning disorders, apraxia, child language, processing delays, early intervention, pragmatic language, social skills and social thinking. She works often with preschool aged children, early elementary and children across the Autism spectrum.  Jamie provides comprehensive speech and language evaluations, individual speech and language therapy and runs several social groups starting as young as 3 years old through 16 years old.  

 

At Segal Speech and Language Therapy we strongly believe in creating a warm and friendly clinical environment that promotes creativity in exploring ways to best allow the child to grow.  We create individualized treatment plans, strongly believe in collaboration and work closely the child's family.

Marlee Thornton  M.S. CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Marlee is a licensed speech-language pathologist who received her Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wyoming. She moved to the San Diego area after attending graduate school to begin her career. 

 

Marlee has experience working with school-aged children, middle and high-school aged adolescents and adults. She is well versed in working with school aged children who have a difficult time in narrative language, using a variety of techniques to support coherence and intent of communication messages during conversational speech. She also has experience in treating clients within the areas of articulation, stuttering,  language delays/disorders with various ages and pragmatic language.

Jontue Koff  M.S. OTR/L

AtPlay OT Owner & Occupational Therapist

Segal Speech is fortunate enough to share space and work collaborativley with Jontue Koff of AtPlay Occupational Therapy. Jontue is certified in the Sensory Integration Praxis Test (SIPT) and the SOS Feeding Approach. Jontue provides comprehensive assessments, individual therapy and group therapy. Jontue works with children who may have gross or fine motor delays, difficulties with self-regulation, visual motor delays, sensory integration delays and children who need support with feeding development.
